Each year solo and team cyclists start their journey at the Oceanside Pier and race across America to Annapolis, Maryland. It is a 3,000-mile journey. So when I received word that the cyclists would be making their way right down North River Road, I knew I had to cheer them on. My son who is drummer grabbed his cowbell, we made a sign and headed to the corner of Wilshire Road and North River. Each cyclist that went by we clanged our bell, waived our sign, and shouted “Good Luck” and “Have Fun”! It was such a fun way to spend time with my son and great way to celebrate the human spirit. Maybe you can join us next year!
Here is Ty and our silly sign.
